I don’t think that’s the traditional song for the changing of the guard

So the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace was awesome, and they played the 007 theme song. There were so many people! Getting to walk right up to the gates of Buckingham Palace was surreal, I have to admit. The place is a lot bigger in person than it looks on TV. Andy pointed out that there were only two guards, which means the queen wasn’t in. Apparently when she’s in, there are four guards.

While we watched the changing of the guards, a friend of Katie’s who she met in Portugal came by for a visit. He’s studying in London, so it was convenient for all of us. It was good to meet him, especially since I’d heard so many stories about him.

From there, we walked down the Mall to Trafalgar Square, where we ate our packed lunches on the steps of the National Gallery and watched…
